Film, TV, theatre and commercial director.

Graduated Film and TV directing at Academy of drama arts in Zagreb.

Made his debut at age of 25 with his first feature Blagajnica hoće ići na more/The Cashier wants to go to the seaside which was the opening film at the prestigious New directors/New films film festival at the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and received great reviews in New York Times. He won the award for best debutant at the Pula film festival and the film was regional box office hit.

Directed 11 feature films, several short films and documentaries, 3 TV series, 6 theatre plays and many successful and awarded commercials.

Winner of Cannes film festival Prix du Jury Un Certain Regard for feature Zvizdan/The High Sun, only feature in Croatian history selected in Cannes official program.

Winner of Series Mania Grand prix International panorama for TV series Područje bez Signala/The Last Socialist Artefact.

Director of TV series Novine/The Paper (3 seasons), first southeast european TV series with global Netflix distribution.

One of 5 European directors who made first series of short films on #EUANDME topics (2018. Debut).

Two of his short films were screened in Cannes: 2009. Tulum/Party, Semaine De La Critique, 2003. Suša/Drought, Quinzaine Des Réalisateurs, first Croatian film in Cannes.

His first two feature films: Blagajnica hoće ići na more/The Cashier wants to go to the seaside and Fine mrtve djevojke/Fine Dead Girls were presented in NYC’s MoMA.

Beside many international awards for best film and best director, winner of 3 Golden arena awards for best directing on national Pula film festival (Zvizdan/The High Sun, Ćaća/Daddy, Fine mrtve djevojke/Fine dead girls) and 4 Hearts of Sarajevo, 2 for best short film: Tulum/Party, Mezanin/Mezzanine and 2 for Područje bez signala/The Last Socialist Artefact as creator of best TV series and best director.

Winner of 6 Oktavijan awards – Croatian critic’s award.

Winner of 2 awards for culture by City of Zagreb.
